1970-71 A-Body; Fuel Cap; Non Vented; Primer; For EEC/ECS Equipped Models
Reproduction fuel cap for 1967-71 Dodge and Plymouth A-Body models. Manufactured as original, this vented cap comes primered and ready to paint and install. This cap is for models with ECS (Evaporative Control System) also known as EEC (Evaporative Emission Control). To determine if your car had ECS originally look at the passenger side of the tank for various tubes sticking out of the tank and look for an expansion chamber inside the tank. If your vehicle's tank has these tubes and expansion chamber, then your car has ECS (also referred to as EEC) and this cap should fit and function properly. If your car does NOT have EEC/ECS, then your car will require part # MA8173 fuel cap. This cap is designed to fit our EEC/ECS Fuel Filler neck, part # MF46200.
