The stage 1 Strip Grip Kit by UMI Performance includes everything you need to safely lower your track 60-foot times and increase track consistency. Drive you tires into the ground and be ready to launch hard with UMI's Strip Grip setup. Kit includes (1) set of UMI's rear lift bars and (1) set of lower torque box reinforcements.
Installation:
Weld- or Bolt-in in approximately 3 hours. All hardware and detailed installation instructions are included with each kit. (Some hardware included in this kit is not shown in the pictures.)
Warranty:
UMI Performance offers a 2 Year replacement Warranty from the original purchase date to the original purchaser of the parts.
Lower Control Arm Reinforcements (Torque Box Reinforcements)
If you have raced your Mustang aggressively, on slicks, or even on the street and especially if your car is a 5-speed, you may have cracked torque boxes. Fox bodies don't have the best chassis to begin with, combined with a V8 and some torque, and you are going to have problems. That is why lower control arm reinforcements or torque box reinforcements were designed to reinforce weak and cracked torque boxes (front lower control arm mounting point).
The torque box area is the front mounting point of the lower control arm. This area is a must for reinforcement when running any kind of aftermarket control arm, polyurethane bushings or UMI lift bars. Lift bars are well known for tearing stock torque boxes from the car. Reinforcements will fix already cracked and torn mounting points as well as reinforce unharmed points.

Installation:
Reinforcements are Weld- or Bolt-in and install in approximately 2 - 2 hours. All hardware and installation instructions are included with each kit.
*Supplied bare metal for welding purposes and will require paint after installation.
Rear Lift Bars
You thought the notorious South Side Machine lift bars were done? Well, UMI brought them back! The UMI lift bars replace your stock control arms adding tremendous track gains while keeping your ride height the same and eliminating your quad shocks. Lift bars are designed to work with axle torque to load the chassis of the car, forcing the rear wheels downward while pushing the tires into the ground for harder launches and improved 60-foot times. These bars are designed to greatly improve traction and reduce wheel hop. Constructed of boxed mild steel tubing, 0.120" wall and 0.250" thick mounting plates-completely CNC machined for exact tolerances and a superb fit. Lift bars feature grease able aluminum bushing with steel sleeves.

UMI Performance proudly designs and manufactures its entire line of products within its facility located in the small town of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. The facility features CNC machining, both milling and turning CNC's, band sawing, press brake operation, MIG and TIG welding, sand blasting, plasma cutting and powder coating.
